Monsanto to field-test water-efficient corn variety in the spring

Monsanto is planning to sign up about 250 farmers in five states to field-test its drought-resistant corn seed on about 10,000 acres in the spring. The biotech corn seed is designed to use water more efficiently, said Dusty Post, head of global corn technology for Monsanto.
