Report: About 3,000 Vt. crashes yearly are caused by distracted driving

Distracted driving accounts for about 3,000 -- or 10% -- of the total number of road crashes in Vermont every year, according to a report from the state police. The number of drivers who text behind the wheel has been increasing and has become a cause for concern for the state's highway safety officials.
