U.S. productivity unexpectedly dropped in Q2

U.S. productivity dropped in the second quarter for the first time in a year and a half. Nonfarm business productivity fell 0.9% for the quarter, according to the Labor Department. Economists had predicted an increase of 0.3% for second-quarter productivity. Meanwhile, wholesale inventories edged upward 0.1% in June and wholesale sales fell 0.7% for the month.
