Bureau to seek a 1.8% cut to the Calif. workers' comp premium rate

The Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California intends to propose a 1.8% decrease in the pure premium rate, which would be effective Jan. 1. The proposal is based on a new method the bureau is using to calculate workers' compensation loss cost after suggesting increases in recent years.
