Commission to consider requiring $9.2M bond for wind-turbine park

The Mason County Board of Commissioners in Michigan was scheduled to review a resolution requiring a $9.2 million bond for a wind-energy park. The county's planning commission added the requirement for the bond, the amount of which would be re-evaluated every three years to ensure it could cover the cost of the park's removal if necessary. A company has plans to build 56 wind turbines at 456 feet each in Mason County.
