Companies show no interest in issuing bond for Ohio public official

The insurance broker for Stark County, Ohio, is having no luck in finding a company to bond its treasurer. The state-required bond that the treasurer had to perform his job was canceled in October after he was removed from his post because his former chief deputy stole $3 million from the county. The treasurer was returned to his post by the Ohio Supreme Court, but he has not resumed his full job duties and is not receiving a paycheck.
