Disney looks to a paywall for online content

Disney is planning to erect a paywall around its online content, with a TV Everywhere-style door allowing users early access to shows if they log on with a cable-subscription ID. That's a shift in strategy for the company, which has hitherto sought to "protect and respect" existing distribution systems for in-season TV content, says CEO Bob Iger.
