Intel unit to invest $300 million for "ultrabooks"

Intel's venture capital division is pouring $300 million into developing technology to support a line of "ultrabook" laptops. Ultrabooks will aim to combine some of the features of tablets with a design similar to Apple's MacBook Air line, observers say. Possible features for ultrabooks could include lightweight materials, longer battery life, touch screens and high-speed data-transfer technology, the company says.
