Samsung Electronics suffered another setback in its battles with Apple on Friday when the International Trade Commission ruled that the South Korean device maker had violated two of Apple's patents and blocked the import of some of its older devices. The decision elicited mixed reactions. Samsung said it has modified its devices to account for Apple's patent claims, but some attorneys said the ITC ruling could give Apple leverage in negotiating settlements with its rival. Also Friday, Apple urged a federal appeals court to reverse a District Court judge's decision not to ban Samsung products following a jury verdict a year ago that Samsung had breached Apple's patents.
