Report: Demand for foamed plastics will increase

Recovery in the auto and construction markets should give all types of foamed plastics sales growth of 2% to 4% annually over the next four years, according to a report by Freedonia. U.S. demand for foamed plastics is expected to increase by 2.7% annually to 8.4 billion pounds by 2013, and foamed urethane will continue to be the most popular type of foamed plastic, the report said.
