Ameristar Casinos hires team for possible sale

Ameristar Casinos hired an investment bank and legal adviser to help with the possible sale of the Las Vegas company or some of its regional casinos. Ameristar founder Craig Neilsen died in 2006, and analysts had expected a sale of the company's assets. "We are not surprised at Ameristar's board potentially selling the company and we thought it would review this some time in 2011 in any event," said Joe Greff, JPMorgan gaming analyst.
