FREIGHT Act earns support of AAR, transportation leaders

Transportation experts and advocates weighed in on the proposed FREIGHT Act, which purports to create a national freight shipping strategy. The bill has found broad support. "The benchmarks set forth in the FREIGHT Act are outcome-oriented and will ensure that public investments in the nation's freight transportation system will produce tangible public benefits," wrote Ed Hamberger, president of the Association of American Railroads.
