Jetstar, Mitsubishi, JAL will spawn low-cost carrier Jetstar Japan

Jetstar Airways, Japan Airlines and Mitsubishi have agreed to a $39 million joint venture that will produce the low-cost carrier Jetstar Japan. The new carrier will use the sales, reservation and operation systems of Qantas Airways, which is Jetstar's parent company.
