N.C. Blue Cross opens retail clinics and road show

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is opening retail stores across the state to offer information about health insurance exchanges along with exercise options such as stationary bicycle workouts and aerobics classes. The state's largest health insurer is also towing an air-conditioned trailer to farmers markets and fairs in an effort to enroll people in health insurance plans once the state's federally run marketplace opens in October. The campaign is designed to reach people who want to talk face-to-face about the Affordable Care Act, BCBSNC marketing director Bruce Allen said.
