Ohio city commission likely will keep airport tower open

The Springfield, Ohio, City Commission is expected to vote Aug. 20 to keep Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport's traffic-control tower open for one more year. However, the commission also plans to complete a cost-benefit analysis to understand the airport's potential economic impact. The tower serves general aviation, businesses and flight schools.
