Hotels strive to keep up with consumer technologies

Hotels increasingly are upgrading their gadgets to keep up with technology their guests enjoy at home. Flat-panel TVs will soon be added to every guest room at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, for example. Laurence Barron, VP and CIO for the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute and the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation, said, "They [hotel owners] are trying to make the hotels an extension of people's home."
