Small-business owners say they need more attention

Many of the small-business owners who came to Sen. Olympia Snowe's field meeting on Wednesday in Portland, Maine, said the federal government has been too preoccupied with big business and offered too little help to small business. Snowe, R-Maine, the ranking member of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, asked her audience to identify what works and what doesn't. "There's a lot of Capitol Hill attention on the credit needs of larger companies, but where is the same attention to small business?" asked David Clough, NFIB/Maine.
