Halliburton performs hydraulic fracturing in Polish well

Halliburton said it carried out hydraulic fracturing for Poland's state-run PGNiG at an exploratory well in Lublin province. The drilling technique, which involves the injection of water, sand and chemicals, has been criticized in the U.S. because of concerns about water-supply contamination.
