Nev. district enlists tutors to keep students on track

The Washoe County School District in Nevada offers a range of tutoring programs to help ensure students receive extra support when they need it. To help educators identify students who need extra help in math and reading, schools test all students a few weeks after the beginning of the school year and then educators convene to discuss student data. From there, students are placed in various tutoring programs, many of which are staffed by volunteers.
