Study lists risk factors for early-onset dementia

A study in JAMA Internal Medicine lists nine risk factors, many traced to adolescence, linked to dementia diagnosed before age 65, according to Swedish researchers. The risk factors were alcohol and drug intoxication, antipsychotic use, depression, history of dementia in patient's father, low cognitive function, short stature and systolic hypertension.
