Wind-energy renaissance spurs manufacturing boom

The rapid growth of America's wind-energy industry has brought a secondary boom in the green-manufacturing sector, according to a report. From 2004 to 2009, hundreds of U.S. manufacturing plants serving the wind-energy sector were opened, and more than 60% of U.S. wind-turbine components are now domestically sourced.
