Pew Research figures are adding some clarity to a flurry of fuzzy figures about the numbers and proportions of older adults who are taking advantage of new media. In brief, boomers and seniors are digitally adept and aware in smaller percentages than their younger counterparts, but the numbers are still huge, offering a rich field for marketers who carefully study older adults' online habits, writes Laurie Orlov.
