Pressure to repeal IPAB continues

A coalition of Democrats, Republicans, drug and device makers, and health care providers continues to press for repealing the Medicare Independent Payment Advisory Board, but potential across-the-board spending cuts might negate the need for the panel to convene at all. Under the PPACA, the board would meet and recommend cost-cutting measures only if annual Medicare spending exceeds the law's targets.
