Why CSR's results matter more than motives

Wal-Mart's CSR and green-supply-chain efforts have had a dramatic effect on the business world -- but are they an attempt to save the planet or simply to make and save money? It doesn't really matter, argues John Izzo, since Wal-Mart's ability to leverage their suppliers is what really matters. "Personally I care less about their motives than I do about their results and so should you," Izzo writes.
