D.C. builders add to office mix, hope demand will exceed supply

Washington, D.C.'s Republic Properties is building 1 million square feet of new office buildings -- despite having no major tenant lined up -- in hopes that demand for office space will pick up in the nation's capital. The move comes as the city sees the largest office construction boom in its history, and with 2.4 million square feet of office space being built in the District.
