The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's evaluation of relicensing Entergy's Pilgrim nuclear plant in Plymouth, Mass. has taken longer than the agency's standard 30-month time frame because of the complexity of the issues involved, said NRC Chairman Gregory Jaczko in letters to Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., and Rep. William Delahunt, D-Mass. "It seems to be taking an eternity," said David Tarantino, a spokesman for the plant. The license application was filed about four and a half years ago.
