Deere & Co. sees 15% profit increase in fiscal third quarter

Deere & Co. announced its fiscal third-quarter profit rose 15% on strong international sales of farm equipment, currency issues and its ability to raise prices. The company's net income increased from $617 million a year ago to $712.3 million. "We remain confident that these positive macroeconomic trends have staying power and should prove rewarding to the company and its stakeholders in the years ahead," Chairman and CEO Samuel Allen said.
