Ooyala takes the streaming reins at ESPN.com

Ooyala, a California-based provider of online-video technology, has been chosen by ESPN to power the sports broadcaster's streaming content. The platform replaces a proprietary model administered by ESPN based on streaming technology used by parent company Disney. The Ooyala platform will increase the quality of playback, reduce load times and streamline back-end management processes, the companies said.
