TSA, Continental partner for paperless boarding passes

In an effort to reduce its carbon footprint, Continental Airlines has teamed with TSA to launch an electronic boarding pass system to reduce the use of paper at the San Diego International Airport. The airport will utilize equipment that will scan a bar code sent to travelers' mobile devices, which will also help to eliminate boarding pass fraud, TSA and Continental said.
