When employers are recruiting veterans, they need to focus on those vets who may not seem as attractive as some others -- because of their training or perhaps because they've suffered some serious injuries, Josh Letourneau writes. The skilled vets, those who often didn't see combat, don't have as much the difficulty in landing jobs, he writes. "[I]f all we're doing is competing for the same 'skilled' military talent, we're not making a dent in the problem. Sure, it's a nice PR bump, but in reality, it's window dressing," he writes.
