Converged standard will require judgment from financial-statement preparers

The Financial Accounting Standards Board and the International Accounting Standards Board are expected to release a converged revenue-recognition standard this year that will require financial-statement preparers to identify five steps for revenue recognition. This article discusses six areas in which preparers will have to exercise judgment in applying the five steps.
