DISH "dead serious" about competing with wireless carriers

DISH Network remains committed to competing against the top U.S. wireless carriers, general counsel R. Stanton Dodge told a technology conference on Sunday, but he conceded the satellite provider has fallen short in acquiring the required spectrum to take that step. Given the company's setbacks, he said DISH's previous goal of launching a network in 2015 was "a bit optimistic."
