Mo. committees hear ideas for Medicaid system

Missouri House and Senate committees continued hearings on the state's Medicaid program, with the House forum hearing testimony that failing to increase eligibility would affect patients with mental illness the most. The Senate hearing mainly featured ideas to lower costs and improve care, including moving Medicaid patients from fee-for-service to managed care plans, improving care coordination and making more use of primary care medical homes.
