Study: Rb-82 MPI with regadenoson promising for obstructive CAD diagnosis

Research published in the Journal of Nuclear Medicine recorded 92% sensitivity and high accuracy in the use of regadenoson stress testing with rubidium-82 PET myocardial perfusion imaging for diagnosing obstructive coronary artery disease. "[H]igh diagnostic sensitivity was maintained irrespective of age, sex, and body mass index. Also, the sensitivity for the detection of obstructive CAD in patients with single-vessel CAD and in patients with underlying multivessel CAD was equally high," researchers wrote.
