Crude-by-rail business has "some longevity," says businessman

Increasing demand for crude-oil shipments transported by rail has prompted companies such as railroads and U.S. Development Group to invest in the business. USD has been introducing the concept of crude-by-rail to the energy industry as it believes the trend will continue because customers recognize its benefits, according to Dan Borgen of USD. "Part of my job is to help communicate to folks that this appears to have some longevity," Borgen said.
