Fitch notes promise of BDCs in rising rate environment

Reversing a cautionary note earlier in the year, Fitch Ratings now says business development companies are attractive investments, given their "increased exposure to floating-rate investments and generally heavy use of fixed rate funding." Fitch says these structures position BDCs to benefit over the long term from rising interest rates and cites Ares Capital as a promising example.
