LinkedIn can help job seekers get to know a company or institution better, while building a solid network, suggests LinkedIn ambassador and career adviser Lindsey Pollak. Interviewed for this article, Pollak advises candidates to follow companies that interest them and connect with people who are most active. "Treat it like you would people at a conference. You want to focus on and connect with the people who are there, not the ones who didn't show up," Pollak said.
