Most Mexicans oppose bringing private firms into energy sector

Most Mexicans are against President Enrique Peña Nieto's proposal to allow private investment in the nation's oil resources, according to a poll by El Universal newspaper. Among those surveyed, 62% said private investment should not be allowed in the oil sector. However, there was wide support for reforming the state-run oil monopoly Petróleos Mexicanos.
