RDs can help clients focus on healthy, home-cooked meals

Dietitians have a role in educating clients about healthy cooking and the nutritional value of meals prepared at home, experts say. Registered dietitian Sanna Delmonico says RDs provide an educational bridge between physicians who may not have a lot of nutrition training and chefs who may not have much health knowledge. The Food and Culinary Professionals Dietetic Practice Group is one resource to help RDs provide such education.
