Study examines combo laser treatment for facial rejuvenation

Non-ablative fractional laser and optimized, intense pulsed light were associated with good outcomes in facial rejuvenation treatments, according to a 36-patient study in the journal Lasers in Surgery and Medicine. Patients who received full face treatments with optimized intense pulsed light and a non-ablative fractional laser had improved average Fitzpatrick Wrinkle Scale ratings, though not as much as with fractional laser-only treatment. Average pigment improvement scores were higher for the combination group, and the rate of adverse events was similar.
