Conn. educators learn how to become teacher-team leaders

Educators in New Haven Public Schools in Connecticut spent a recent week learning how to lead teaching teams as part of their new roles as teacher leaders. A $53 million federal grant from the Teacher Incentive Fund is paying for the week of professional development and $500 monthly stipends for the teacher leaders, who were trained by the National Academy of Advanced Teacher Education.
