Padden sees few network affiliate stations selling spectrum

The Federal Communications Commission's voluntary auction to free up wireless spectrum will have limited participation, said Preston Padden, who heads a group of stations willing to sell their licenses to the government. "To the best of my knowledge, the commission is extremely unlikely to attract affiliates of ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox to this auction," Padden told a conference seminar, adding that his coalition contains only independent stations.
