Survey: 35% of employers say wellness programs control costs

Employer-sponsored insurance premiums for family coverage increased just 4% this year as the U.S. sees moderation in cost increases based on historical trends, according to a Kaiser Family Foundation survey. Data showed 35% of employers surveyed found wellness programs effectively controlled costs and 36% of large employers reported offering financial incentives to encourage employee participation in wellness initiatives.
