Texas nurses offer CPR, AED training for teachers, coaches

The Heart Hospital of Austin, Texas, sent nurses to local schools before the academic year begins to offer CPR and automatic external defibrillator training to teachers and coaches. Cardiovascular nurse specialist and education coordinator Virginia Remeny said about 3 in 10 cardiac arrest victims get CPR from bystanders. "The more people we have trained, the better those people are going to have a chance of surviving," she said.
