Google: Banner ad click-through rates slip

Despite efforts to make banner ads more appealing, their overall rate for click-throughs declined a bit last year, to 0.09% from 0.1% two years ago, according to a Google survey. However, marked differences were noted for the types of ads, with a 250x250 pixel ad using Flash winning a 0.26% click-through rate.
