Tibet expands free education to more students

Secondary-school and vocational students in Tibet will receive free education, which previously was provided to just primary and junior high-school students at a cost of £3.8 million. In China, students receive nine years of free education, and Tibet becomes the first provincial-level region to extend the privilege to all students in upper grades. Other regions plan to follow as well.
