$5M donation will expand personalized medicine program at Mayo Clinic

The Mayo Clinic's Jacksonville, Fla., campus received a $5 million donation from a local couple to establish the Center of Individualized Medicine, where a multidisciplinary team will evaluate patients' genomic profiles and recommend treatment options. The grant will help Mayo turn the promise of genomic medicine into a reality for patients, said Alexander Parker, associate director of the new center.
