AT&T, Nokia, Microsoft to outfit Delta attendants with phones

Delta Air Lines flight attendants will have access to Nokia Lumia 820 smartphones that are linked via AT&T's 4G network as well as Wi-Fi in order to help passengers onboard flights, the companies announced as part of a three-year deal that will involve 19,000 handsets. The Microsoft Dynamics mobile point-of-sale system will back the Windows Phone 8-powered devices, which will enable the attendants to aid passengers with seat upgrades and point-of-sale purchases.
