China is scrutinizing hospital use of medical devices

The Chinese government has launched a three-month survey evaluating how hospitals in the country manage the use of medical devices. The move is part of an effort to clamp down on possible misuse of costly devices by hospitals for financial benefit. In light of the probe, Terumo BCT's Jack Wong advises medtech firms with operations in China to perform an internal audit.
