People who sit for more than 11 hours a day have a 40% greater chance of death in the next three years compared with those who sit for only four hours or less, research shows. Reduce the time you spend sitting by visiting co-workers at their desks instead of calling them or sending instant messages, Lindsay Olson suggests.
